Oscar Piastri has highlighted the growing concern about the effect of wind at the British Grand Prix, believing it will only get worse through the weekend.
During Friday's running at Silverstone, multiple drivers suffered spins and offs at the former RAF base, which is often exposed to high winds.
Piastri placed third and fourth in the two sessions, respectively, but was comprehensively outpaced by Norris in FP2, finishing nearly half a second behind his team-mate.
Reflecting on the "tough" day, Piastri identified the wind as a cause for concern.
"It was tough, it was very tough," he explained.
"I think it's only going to get worse through the weekend as well, so that will make things interesting.
"It will spice things up a bit, especially with so many high-speed corners here, you really feel it a lot. It was making things pretty tough.
As for his day, Piastri detailed how the "messy" running had affected him but remained confident of defeating the strong Ferraris.
"During FP2, the soft tyre was a little bit messy for me, but I think the potential is definitely there," he added.
“The long runs look pretty solid as well. It was an interesting first day, and I think a lot of competition.
It was a bit of a surprise, yes, to see Ferrari being so fast].
"They looked good in both the qualifying and the longer runs as well. I think they're in the fight this weekend."
