Jaguar has confirmed ahead of this weekend's season-ending Formula E London E-Prix double-header that Nick Cassidy will depart following the conclusion of the event.

It had been reported several weeks ago that Cassidy would exit the Coventry-based outfit at the end of Season 12, to complete a move to Stellantis.

Cassidy has raced Jaguar machinery for all three seasons of the Gen3 era, firstly with Envision, before moving to the factory squad for Seasons 10 and 11.

Despite wins in Shanghai and Berlin, it has been a difficult campaign for the New Zealander, who has been unable to fight for the drivers' title.

Despite five victories for Jaguar as a manufacturer this season, its Gen3 Evo package has proven to be weaker than Porsche's and Nissan's, impacting Cassidy's and Mitch Evans' title hopes.

Cassidy could still finish second in the standings, but the title itself was secured by Oliver Rowland in Berlin. With team principal James Barclay also leaving after London, it represents the end of an era for the Big Cat.

"The decision to leave Jaguar TCS Racing has not been an easy one, but ultimately it is the right one for me personally," said Cassidy.

"I’d like to thank everyone at the team for their support since I joined at the beginning of Season 10. We have fought hard and had some great success together. I particularly want to thank the engineers and mechanics on the #37 side of the garage – we’ve made some amazing memories!

"Looking ahead to London this weekend, we’ll work as hard as ever as a team to ensure we’re competitive and fighting for another top three finish in the Drivers' World Championship."
