Former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer has warned new Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies that he must "immediately" deal with securing Max Verstappen. 

The four-time F1 champion has been heavily linked with a move to Mercedes, in particular after holding talks with team principal Toto Wolff and his manager Raymond Vermuelen.

Charles Leclerc anticipates Ferrari 'step forward' with upcoming boost

Charles Leclerc is eagerly anticipating the arrival of fresh Ferrari upgrades in a bid to close the gap to the front of the field.

Ferrari sees itself perched second in the constructors' championship, despite sitting as the only team in the top four in the standings that has not yet claimed a race win.

Johnny Herbert opens up on life after FIA exit

Former F1 driver Johnny Herbert has opened up on life after departing the FIA as a race steward, with him having since become an ambassador for historic manufacturer, Lola. 

Herbert departed motorsport's governing body at the end of January earlier this year after the FIA deemed that his role as a pundit was "incompatible" with being a steward.

McLaren dominated the race at Silverstone, which marked the halfway point of the F1 season. The MCL39 proved to be a car with virtually no weaknesses, but for its home race, the Woking-based team decided to introduce extensive underbody developments to further consolidate its technical advantage over its rivals. 

This extensive work was visibly concentrated along the sidewall and the expanding profile. Specifically, a large longitudinal slit was extended, effectively creating a sort of long, knife-edge profile that extends towards the rear.

Former F1 driver Nelson Piquet Jr has claimed Red Bull struggled to hire new staff due to their concerns about the team environment.

Red Bull confirmed a major managerial change last week as it severed ties with long-time team principal Christian Horner.

Major company poised to win F1 broadcast rights in US

Major technology establishment Apple is set to win the rights to broadcast F1 in the US.

Apple has already dabbled in the sport with the release of the Brad Pitt-led movie entitled 'F1', which was distributed to theatres last month.
