Charles Leclerc and Lance Stroll have been called to see the F1 stewards in Shanghai following sprint qualifying ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix.
Leclerc ended the session in fourth place while team-mate Lewis Hamilton secured the fastest lap of the outing.
However, not long after the chequered flag, the stewards issued a summons for Leclerc, as well as Stroll.
It is alleged that the duo breached Article 33.4 of the sporting regulations. It relates to driver behaviour on a race track behind the wheel, reading: “At no time may a car be driven unnecessarily slowly, erratically or in a manner which could be deemed potentially dangerous to other drivers or any other person.”
It also claims the drivers failed to follow the race director's instructions at the end of the qualifying session, which dictates that “drivers must stay below the maximum time set by the FIA between the Safety Car lines shown on the pit lane map.”
Should any grid penalty be applied, it will be issued for the starting grid of the sprint race which takes place on Saturday.
