Over four-fifths of F1 fans believe the Monaco Grand Prix should be cut from the calendar after the two-stop mandate was unable to reinvigorate the race.
The novel approach was adopted in the wake of the 2024 edition, which saw an early red flag eradicate the need for any further pit stops.
It led to an even more processional race than usual, but the enforced second pit stop did not have the desired effect this time around.
If anything, it made the spectacle worse, and F1 fans have voiced their dissatisfaction as a result.
Whilst the jewel in F1's crown is contracted to the schedule until at least 2031, just shy of 82 percent of those who voted in a recent poll by RacingNews365 want rid of the annual trip to the Circuit de Monaco.
To further underline how unpopular the experiment was with the audience, less than seven percent of respondents felt it should be given another chance next year.
