The class-leading #30 LMP2 Duqueine Team Oreca suffered a 'brake explosion' at whilst leading the Le Mans 24 Hours, denying Mercedes F1 junior Doriane Pin a likely win.
Pin was part of the crew including Julian Andlauer and Richard Verschoor, who was driving at the time with a s smidge under three-and-a-half hours remaining.
However, the Dutch driver reported the brakes "exploded" as he pulled off to the left-hand side at the first chicane on the Mulsanne after the issue on the left-front wheel.
The new leaders is the #343 machine, with Reshad de Gerus currently aboard, with Nick Yelloly just 4.7s behind in the #43.
