Team Redline will continue under a new name, becoming Verstappen Sim Racing as part of a wider alignment with Max Verstappen’s racing activities.

Founded in 2000 by Dom Duhan, Team Redline has long been one of the most prominent outfits in sim racing, housing some of the discipline’s biggest names over the years. More recently, the team has enjoyed considerable success in esports competition, securing Esports World Cup titles in 2022, 2024 and 2025.

In 2022, the team entered into a partnership with Max Verstappen, shortly after the Dutchman launched his own racing outfit, Verstappen.com Racing.

Verstappen viewed the collaboration as an opportunity to help talented sim racers transition into real-world circuit racing. One notable example is Chris Lulham, who joined Team Redline in 2021 and has since claimed multiple GT titles.

The rebrand to Verstappen Sim Racing marks a significant step, with the move designed to align the team’s identity with Verstappen Racing’s broader ambition of creating a unified racing ecosystem spanning all forms of motorsport, from GT3 competition to the virtual arena.

Verstappen said: "Sim racing is a major passion of mine outside of Formula 1, and Team Redline has played an important role in that. I spend a lot of time there when I’m not at the circuit, and it is part of what I am building with Verstappen Racing.

"This step to Verstappen Sim Racing feels very natural. We are building on everything we have achieved and aligning it with the wider Verstappen Racing platform.

"I have always believed that sim racing can develop real talent, and we are already seeing that with Chris Lulham. I am very excited to build on the team’s success and see what the future holds."

CEO Atze Kerkhof added: "Building on Team Redline’s track record, Verstappen Sim Racing represents the next step in an era where sim racing is a true breeding ground for talent in real-world motorsport. I am excited about the future and look forward to continuing to grow and drive this team forward."

Founder Duhan also welcomed the change, stating: "I am proud that everything Team Redline has built will continue under Verstappen Sim Racing.

"After many years of developing and guiding the team, this transition feels like a natural evolution, one that will continue to inspire and nurture the next generation of racing talent."
