Max Verstappen has already made a return to the Nordschleife track for a test outing with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 car.
His trip to the German track comes after a challenging weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Hoping to repeat his success from Suzuka in 2025, the four-time champion was a non-factor in the race and crossed the line in eighth place.
Shortly after the race, Verstappen admitted he was contemplating his F1 future, with reports emerging that he could opt to walk away at the end of the current campaign.
Verstappen has been very vocal over his disappointment with the new technical regulations, but has kept up his racing interest with outings at the Nordschleife.
Following his disqualification from victory at NLS2 earlier this month, he has now returned to the famous track.
An observant visitor to the track managed to capture images of the Dutchman next to the track, taking his Mercedes-AMG GT3 for a private test in the freezing Eifel region.
Not one, but two of those Mercedes cars with Red Bull liveries can be seen on the Nordschleife. Who is driving the other car is not clear, but likely one of Verstappen's team-mates (Juncadella, Gounon or Auer).
