Max Verstappen has unveiled a special helmet for the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix in tribute to F1's annual trip to Brazil.
The Dutchman explained that racing at Interlagos is "special" for him, given the success he has enjoyed at the circuit and the fact that his partner, Kelly Piquet, hails from the South American nation.
Three of the Red Bull driver's 68 F1 victories have come at the venue, and he has taken a further three podium finishes, including his legendary third-place finish at the 2016 Brazilian Grand Prix, when he recovered from P16 with only 16 laps to go.
Last season, he won in Sao Paulo from P17 in torrential conditions, in what is widely considered his greatest win in F1.
The helmet has a considerable amount of gold incorporated into its usual design, with green accents to go with the blue and yellow of Red Bull, in a nod to the national flag of Brazil.
Check out his golden helmet below — and the YouTube reveal underneath.
