Max Verstappen took time to hilariously wave at Alpine driver Pierre Gasly as the latter overtook the Red Bull driver during the Japanese Grand Prix.
Gasly and Verstappen spent much of the race battling for seventh place, with the Alpine driver coming out on top.
It marked the Frenchman's third straight top-10 finish as he continued Alpine's strong start to the year.
For Verstappen, however, it was a frustrating race as the Dutchman continues to be unhappy with the new regulations, which place heavy emphasis on energy recovery and deployment.
During the grand prix, Gasly powered past Verstappen on the start/finish straight when Verstappen ran out of battery.
In a funny moment, Verstappen then raised his hand to wave at Gasly as the 30-year-old sailed by for position.
