Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies has confirmed "everything is okay" with Max Verstappen's RB21, after the Dutchman complained his car was "broken" during FP1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

He shared that there were initial concerns at the Milton Keynes-based squad, but those worries have since been alleviated.

Lewis Hamilton reveals final Ferrari 'hope' as key weakness highlighted

Lewis Hamilton has signalled his hope that he can extract pace from his Ferrari car this weekend in Abu Dhabi after a challenging opening day of on-track action.

Hamilton missed the first practice segment of the weekend, with Arthur Leclerc behind the wheel as part of the mandatory rookie F1 outings.

Oscar Piastri pinpoints mistake after crucial F1 title-decider disadvantage

Oscar Piastri has pinpointed not getting the most out of his soft-tyre lap in practice after facing a major disadvantage in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix practice.

Unlike title rivals Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, Piastri was forced to miss FP1 at Yas Marina to fulfil the requirement to hand his car over for at least two sessions, with the Australian previously only doing so in Italy.

Lando Norris is adamant he has "nothing to smile about just yet" at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, despite topping both of Friday's free practice sessions.
