Max Verstappen has long flirted with the idea of an early retirement from F1.
The Dutchman has made it perfectly clear that becoming the most decorated driver in F1 history is not his primary motivation.
The Red Bull has said in the past that he will continue so long as he is having fun, after accomplishing his goal of becoming an F1 drivers' champion in 2021 — before winning the three subsequent titles.
Whilst there is persistent speculation over his future within F1, and whether he will remain at the Milton Keynes-based team long-term, seeing out his contract that runs until the end of 2028, there is equal intrigue over what he might do after he walks away from the championship.
He has stated that his next contract in F1 will be his last, with the caveat that he must still enjoy the series, but what should he do after?
In a recent poll conducted by RacingNews365, F1 fans handed down a clear verdict on what the 71-time grand prix winner should turn his hand to.
Building on his interest in GT3 racing and endurance events, over 75% of respondents said the 28-year-old should turn to the World Endurance Championship, which seems the most likely option at this stage.
