A furious Max Verstappen has explained his lack of answers in the aftermath of the penalty he received in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Pole-sitter Verstappen was handed a five-second time penalty for cutting Turn 1 and gaining an advantage over Oscar Piastri, with whom he shared the front-row.

The FIA stewards have explained the reason for Max Verstappen's five-second time penalty in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Verstappen started the race from pole position but found Oscar Piastri on his inside as they entered the first corner.

Christian Horner disputes Max Verstappen penalty with 'photo evidence'

Christian Horner has provided what he feels is photographic evidence after Max Verstappen's five-second time penalty in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was the wrong decision.

Verstappen was beaten off pole to the Turn 1 apex by front-row partner Oscar Piastri, with the Red Bull cutting across the run-off but maintaining the position.

Lando Norris makes 'tough' admission after latest costly error

Lando Norris has conceded he made life "very tough" for himself at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, after his qualifying shunt ruined his chances of victory.

It was a second-consecutive disappointing weekend for the McLaren driver, coming off the back of an underwhelming display at the Bahrain International Circuit.

McLaren offers clear opinion on Max Verstappen penalty

McLaren CEO Zak Brown has offered a clear opinion on Max Verstappen's penalty in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The McLaren boss insisted that the Red Bull driver's five-second time penalty for leaving the circuit and gaining an advantage at the first corners was "definitely appropriate".

Oscar Piastri delivers verdict on race-deciding Max Verstappen incident

Oscar Piastri has said he not going to come out of the first corner in second place at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, after a controversial start to the race.

The McLaren driver planted his MCL39 down the inside of Max Verstappen, who took to the run-off area on the exit of the turn to maintain his advantage.
