Max Verstappen has addressed Red Bull's consistent Friday problem, in that the operating window of the RB21 is "super narrow".
Red Bull has often started the majority of grands prix poorly this season, before a remarkable turnaround is made in qualifying.
It was the case in Imola, where Verstappen secured second on the grid and converted it into a staggering victory after a remarkable opening corner move on Oscar Piastri.
Of the big four teams, Red Bull has consistently faced the most opening day problems, with Verstappen knowing exactly why ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.
When asked if Red Bull have been analysing how to start each grand prix better, Verstappen told select media including RacingNews365: "I mean, we try that every single Friday.
"But for whatever reason, it's not that easy with our car because it's super easy to be out of the window, and then, when you get it right, everything works quite okay.
"But that window is super narrow, so we need to just, yeah, see what we have. And I hope, of course, it's working straight away, but if not, we'll try and work on it again."
The four-time world champion enjoyed a positive start in Barcelona and ended opening practice in second, although Lando Norris was three-tenths ahead.
It is a significant weekend following the introduction of the new front wing technical directive, which could impact the Dutchman's title fight against the McLaren drivers.
"Possibly, yes, possibly not," said Verstappen, addressing if the title picture will become clearer in Barcelona.
"I know that our car is not good at low speed and street circuits. So that's a fact that will stay also after Barcelona.
"So I don't think Barcelona is suddenly the one that you say, like, 'Oh, this is now where you lose it or win it'. I don't think you can say that."
