Red Bull talent spotter, Helmut Marko beleives that both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are at a similar level when it comes to pure driving ability. Given their recent battle at the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix, several observers have begun speculating about who the better driver is between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. Marko is the latest to offer his thoughts on the subject with the Austrian stating that Hamilton's experience is the only differentiatior between two very similarly talented drivers. "What Hamilton has ahead of Max is the unbelievable routine," Marko told Formel1.de "I don't know how many races he has, how many victories. You could see that, how he did it tactically, how he changed lines and and and and . It was a very difficult race for Max." Despite this Marko thinks both drivers are, "more or less equal" citing that Verstappen will eventually catch up to Hamilton's experience. "They are more or less equal," Marko stated. "Max will at some point be able to fall back on such a wealth of experience as Hamilton." The battle between these two generational superstars is sure to dominate the headlines of what should hopfully be a very interesting 2021 Formula 1 season.
