The Mercedes driver is seeking to snatch his first-ever grand prix win and issue a message to championship-leading team-mate George Russell.
However, Russell will be keen to keep his strong form going and extend his lead out front.
Meanwhile, Ferrari will be looking to strike back at the Brackley-based squad and get its campaign up and running with a race win, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc starting from third and fourth, respectively.
