It all comes down to this: The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Three drivers. 58 laps. Who will win the 2025 F1 drivers' championship?
Max Verstappen starts from pole position at the Yas Marina Circuit. The Dutchman is joined by Lando Norris on the front row.
Oscar Piastri in the second McLaren is the outside bet for the crown. He will line up third, with the championship trio locking out the highest places on the grid.
Norris heads the standings by 12 points over Verstappen, and the Red Bull driver has a four-point margin on the Australian behind him.
Therefore, third place is enough to ensure the title leader his maiden crown. But that sounds easier than it will be.
As George Russell, who starts fourth, pointed out after qualifying that there is the chance Verstappen backs Norris up into the pack, emulating the tactics employed by Lewis Hamilton in the 2016 title decider at the same venue.
That strategy did not work then, as Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg took his only championship. But will it work today?
