After Max Verstappen took seven pole positions in a row from the start of the year, the last two events have seen Ferrari and Mercedes respectively set the fastest qualifying lap.
Local favourite Carlos Sainz topped the final practice session ahead of Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris, who came to blows towards the end of the outing.
