The opening practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix ended with Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris trading lap-times for Ferrari and McLaren at the head of the standings.
In the dusty and unrepresentative conditions, Leclerc shaded Norris by less than a tenth as the Monegasque took the honours as he hunts a third Singapore pole and first win.
Elsewhere Max Verstappen was fourth, but Lewis Hamilton was down in 12th for Mercedes as the W15 struggled with understeer and traction issues throughout.
Free Practice 2 is the most representative session of the weekend, starting one hour after the race itself will begin on Sunday.
