Liam Lawson has named Racing Bulls' strength with tyre management as "very, very positive" following another positive result in the British GP.

Lawson took sixth at Silverstone, with team-mate Arvid Lindblad in seventh as the team closed the gap to Alpine ahead to just a single point - with the team scoring double points for the fifth consecutive race weekend, including Lindblad's eighth in the Canadian GP Sprint.

In its various guises, the team has never finished above sixth in the standings, but with the car proving quicker than Alpine over recent races, Lawson pointed to one factor behind this step forwards, centrered around managing the tyres.

"It was a good race, it was good from start to finish, honestly," Lawson told media, including RacingNews365.

"We had a good first lap, and then the second-half of our stints was really strong, and our tyre management was really strong.

"It has been for the last couple of weeks, which has been very, very positive.

"It is all heading in the right direction, and we had a quick car in Austria, and so it is helping us build [the pace advantage over Alpine] even more, and everything we've been doing recently has been working very well."
