Liam Lawson has hailed Racing Bulls' ability to deliver F1 upgrades free of complications at the start of the sport's new era.

Fresh technical regulations were introduced this year with a major shift installed for both the aerodynamic and power unit rules.

It has caused a slight shift in the pecking order, with Racing Bulls one such team who has benefitted from the change.

Across the opening half of the campaign, it has been a consistent feature inside the top 10, leaving it fifth in the constructors' championship in a tight battle with Alpine.

With a lot of uncovered potential existing with the current rules, Lawson has praised how Racing Bulls has continued to add pace to its car without running into unforseen complications.

“A lot of people are working behind the scenes,” Lawson told media including RacingNews365.

“It's something that probably in the first couple of upgrades, the first couple of things that we started making when they start working, you get quite a good direction.

“It's quite easy, you see teams develop something, and you lose. You bring something to a race, and it doesn't work like you think it does.

“You  have to go three steps back to almost find your way again. That's something that we haven't had to do this year.

“Everything we've done has been has been working very well.”
