A majority of F1 fans believe Lewis Hamilton simply needs to have 'patience for 2026' after his dismal Hungarian Grand Prix weekend.
After qualifying in 12th place in Budapest, Hamilton claimed he was "useless" and suggested that Ferrari would need to "change driver."
He doubled down on these comments after finishing a lapped 12th in the race, but did confirm he would be at Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix following the summer break.
Hungary is Hamilton's most successful track with nine poles, eight wins and an all-time F1 record 487 laps led, but after his comments post-qualifying, RacingNews365 ran a poll on the Briton's Ferrari future.
In it, a majority of 51.10% of voters felt that Hamilton and Ferrari simply needed "patience" and should wait for 2026, when the ground-effect cars Hamilton struggles with will be changed for new designs.
However, 31.57% of the voters felt that the seven-time champion's time had come to an end and that he should retire.
