The leaked images from the behind-closed-doors shakedown of Haas' new F1 car, the VF-25, at Silverstone reveal some differences from its predecessor, the VF-24.

The American team does not appear to have completely revolutionised its concept over the winter, which is in itself not surprising given the looming regulations changes for 2026.

However, compared with its F1 rivals that have already been seen on track, it follows a more conventional evolution from last year's car.

The front end is interesting, because although the configuration of the wing is very similar to the 2024 version, it is noticeable that the airflow is managed using a different philosophy, with the nose cone resting on the main plane of the wing and no longer on the second element, as it previously did.

In practice, the airflow is directed along the car in a different way, which has a less accentuated outwash and is now more functional for the supply of the radiator intakes. These feature a "lip" similar to the version of the Ferrari SF-24 from Imola onwards.

It is also interesting to note how the shape of the VF-25's sidepods closely resembles that of last year's SF-24, with a hollowed-out profile at the top and a more prominent duct than the VF-24.

Many similarities to the SF-24 can also be seen on the engine cover, in particular when looking at the position and shape of the cooling intakes.

The floor is an evolution of the final version introduced last term, with a side edge characterised by a perpendicular slit on the section in front of the rear wheels.

As for the suspension, the push rod will be used at the front for the campaign ahead, as opposed to a pull rod approach.

That is in line with Ferrari's decision, with Haas still relying on as many parts from the Italian team as allowed under the current regulations.

At the rear, the suspension has also remained unchanged, albeit with different connection points due to the new Ferrari gearbox.
