The first part of qualifying for the Le Mans 24 Hours has been suspended due to the #60 Mercedes LMGT3 breaking down.
Towards the end of the lap at the Ford Chicane, driver Andrew Gilbert ground to a halt, reporting a loss of fuel pressure, triggering the red flags as marshals recovered the stricken machine with a tractor.
With 15:15 left on the clock, race control suspended the session to allow for recovery as marshals also took the opportunity to sweep the track clean of gravel after a number of cars ran wide during the first 14:45 of the session.
LMP2 and LMGT3 are sharing a joint session ahead of the Hypercar going on after they have finished with the fastest 12 cars in each of LMP2 and LMGT3 advancing through to Hyperpole tomorrow. The fastest 15 Hypercar cars will also make it through to Thursday's action.
