Lando Norris fired a post-race shot at Max Verstappen, following the Dutchman's shock Turn 5 collision with George Russell.
Verstappen made a good start from third and overtook Norris into the first corner, although later fell back behind the Briton.
The Red Bull driver remained in third for the vast majority of the race, until the closing laps after a late safety car restart.
Red Bull fitted Verstappen with a brand-new set of hard tyres, whilst those around him were fitted with used softs, putting him at a huge disadvantage.
It left the 27-year-old as a sitting duck, with Charles Leclerc having overtaken him immediately after the restart on lap 61 following a huge snap at the final corner.
Russell tried to follow Leclerc through into the first corner but made contact with Verstappen, resulting in the Dutchman cutting across to the inner escape road.
A furious Verstappen was told by Red Bull to hand back the position to the Mercedes driver on lap 64, something he attempted on the entry to Turn 5. However, as Russell pulled alongside, Verstappen ploughed into the side of him.
It saw the stewards penalise Verstappen with a 10-second time penalty, demoting him from fifth to 10th. Watching the incident in the cooldown room, Norris compared it to something he did on Mario Kart.
"I've done that before... in Mario Kart," joked Norris, after Leclerc and Piastri reacted to the incident by gasping.
