Lando Norris has played down his chances of getting involved in the title fight despite taking another commanding race victory at the Dutch Grand Prix.

Norris dominated the second-half of the grand prix at Zandvoort, after scything past off-sequence leader Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Antonelli, pulling away to win by 11 seconds.

The McLaren had been jumped in the early stages of the restart by Antonelli, with Norris eventually building a tyre offset to begin his attack.

The world champion eventually eased to an easy second grand prix win of the season, in the final Dutch GP, and record back-to-back wins on a weekend McLaren dominated.

It led to a question if a comeback is on for Norris, who currently sits 83 points down on the lead.

"It sounds boring, but one race at a time,” Norris said.

"I know a lot of people say it now but it's the truth of it. There's no point thinking that far ahead. I need to concentrate now on having a nice little break [before Monza].

"Obviously two great weekends but we just need to reset and to learn as much as we can. I think there are still plenty of things we need to do better and can do better if we want to fight for a championship.

"I'm very pleased with the team and how much work with everyone is doing. But it's harder than I would like and I would like a bigger gap!"

Norris' victory was all but secured when he came out on top in a tense battle between Antonelli and Hamilton in the second half of the race.

Addressing the sequence, Norris said: “The move was good! I knew I wasn't going to get many chances. Every lap I spent behind them, my odds were getting lower.

"I saw Lewis defended and I knew that was my moment. I did a couple clicks of brake balance, I knew I was going to commit to the braking and that move won me the race. Just well played from my part. I knew I had to make it.

"I probably had one chance to make it happen and I made the most of it. Another win here, very happy."
