Kimi Antonelli is "completely unharmed" after a traffic accident near his home in San Marino over the weekend, Mercedes F1 team has confirmed.

The young Italian was called 911 after the incident, and police arrived at the scene. However, the three-time F1 podium finisher was not injured.

Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies to miss first F1 Bahrain test

Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies has not travelled to Bahrain for the first official F1 pre-season test, which gets underway tomorrow.

The three-day event runs from Wednesday, 11 February to Friday, 13 February, but the Frenchman has stayed at home after a minor routine medical procedure, RacingNews365 understands.

Zak Brown lands hilarious McLaren joke at new F1 car launch

Zak Brown delivered a lighthearted joke at the expense of McLaren's 2017 F1 car, the MCL32, at the launch of the MCL40, the Woking-based squad's challenger for the season ahead.

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will look to defend McLaren's constructors' championship this year, which it also won in 2024, a far cry from the position the team was in only a decade ago, which was the nexus of Brown's quip.

McLaren stray from F1 rivals with major Bahrain test decision

McLaren has opted to bring significantly fewer sets of the C3 compound - the softest tyre at the upcoming test - to Bahrain compared to rival teams.

The Woking-based squad enter the year as the reigning champions, triumphing in both the drivers' and constructors' standings last year.
