Haas team manager Peter Crolla has left the team and is to take up a similar role with the new Cadillac F1 Team, RacingNews365 can confirm.

Crolla has been a mainstay of Haas since it joined the F1 grid in 2016, and actually joined in May 2015 prior to the team's debut in Australia the following March.

In 2017, he became the team manager, working alongside then-boss Guenther Steiner and engineering chief Ayao Komatsu, with Crolla latterly serving new team principal Komatsu in a similar role.

However, senior sources within Cadillac's F1 programme has confirmed to RacingNews365 that Crolla has joined the project and departed Haas.

Cadillac's F1 entry will be on the grid for the 2026 season, meaning over the course of the next 12 months, it must design its first F1 car from scratch, hire two drivers and get up to speed with the Ferrari power unit it will be using.

These are all tasks Crolla has experienced of during his time with Haas, who is also a Ferrari power unit customer.

He is not set to be directly replaced by Haas, with his duties as team manager being split into two new roles of Mark Lowe as sporting director and Neil Hanley as trackside operations manager.
