Isack Hadjar has been summoned to see the stewards at the Circuit of the Americas after an alleged erratic driving incident involving Alex Albon during final practice ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
The clash unfolded late in FP3 when Hadjar locked up on the approach to Turn 1 while on a fast lap, believing Albon's Williams was holding him up on the racing line.
The Red Bull driver ran wide, then pulled alongside Albon's car and steered towards it, appearing to hang on the outside of the corner in an attempt to stop the Williams from rejoining the track.
FIA race control noted the clash and has placed Hadjar under investigation for alleged erratic driving, with the stewards expected to review the incident before qualifying.
The FIA's penalty guidelines classify such defensive manoeuvres in the braking zone as a category warranting anything from a reprimand to a drive-through penalty, depending on severity.
Hadjar will visit the stewards at 15:00 local time, one hour before qualifying.
