Isack Hadjar has revealed that he is "curious" to partner Max Verstappen at Red Bull, a path he views as "natural" due to being part of the Austrian outfit's family.
The Racing Bulls driver has been one of the biggest stars this season, having recovered incredibly since crashing on the formation lap of the Australian Grand Prix.
He has turned into one of the most consistent performers on the grid, becoming a regular in Q3 and the points.
Hadjar has been the Faenza-based outfit's lead driver, out-performing Liam Lawson in the majority of grands prix since his Red Bull demotion.
Unsurprisingly, it has led to the French-Algerian being tipped as Verstappen's next team-mate; however, for now, he is happy to stick with the sister team.
"The natural trajectory as a Red Bull Junior driver is to end up at Red Bull, right?" Hadjar told the Beyond the Grid podcast. "I'm so happy with my team.
"I'm just learning so much every weekend. I just want to keep doing that, just enjoy it. Enjoy the fights with the other guys, and don't disappoint myself."
Being promoted to Red Bull can make or break a driver, as proven in recent months with Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda.
Nico Rosberg has called for Hadjar to reject any approach from Red Bull, although the driver is intrigued to partner the reigning world champion.
"It makes me... I'm just curious," said Hadjar, when Tsunoda and Lawson's difficulties were highlighted.
"What drives me is fighting against the best in the world, and to have Max as a team-mate, I would learn so much."
When asked if he gets on with Verstappen, Hadjar answered: "I do. I think he's a very chill guy. Gets on with everyone, and as long as it's fine on track, obviously, he's a cool guy, yes,"
