Isack Hadjar details 'next target' as key Red Bull breakthrough spied

Isack Hadjar has stated his next target at Red Bull is to get himself onto the podium following his positive start to the year.

Red Bull has not commenced the campaign in ideal form and currently sits fourth in the constructors' championship with the first half of the season in the books.

It is the only team inside the top four not to win a grand prix, however Hadjar's team-mate Max Verstappen has bagged four podiums.

Hadjar briefly had one top three finish to his name, but following a protest from Alpine after the Monaco Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly was instated into third place.

Nevertheless, the Frenchman has been praised for his efforts this year and the improved performance compared to Verstappen's team-mates of the past.

Assessing his season so far, Hadjar told media including RacingNews365: “It started a bit tricky.

“The first couple of rounds, I feel like I was doing the easy stuff really wrong and the tough things, like being quick, in the rhythm and not too far from Max, really well. 

“Since the last couple of rounds, I think I’ve found some consistency, and in the team we’ve fixed a few issues that make our life easier. 

“It’s a lot easier when the car is reliable, When it’s performing, it’s easy to achieve results, I’m not going to lie. 

With the second half of the campaign set to get underway later this month, Hadjar is hopeful that soon he will be able to bring home his first trophy as a Red Bull driver.

“It’s good, but at the same time I would love to have a race where I can actually fight for a real podium, and that’s the next target.”
