Isack Hadjar will join the Red Bull F1 team next year, replacing Yuki Tsunoda, who has struggled for form throughout the season.
Hadjar is the fourth driver in three seasons to be placed alongside Verstappen.
Red Bull started the current season with Liam Lawson behind the wheel but a disastrous opening two rounds saw Tsunoda move into the seat.
However, as Tsunoda also endured challenges of his own, it became clear that Red Bull would seek to go in another direction for 2026.
It has settled on Hadjar, who has enjoyed a successful rookie campaign, peaking with a podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix.
