In photos: First shots of Alfa Romeo's newly-liveried F1 car on track

Alfa Romeo ran their new C42 with a camouflaged livery at the first pre-season test in Barcelona, but have now put the car on track for the first time with the livery they will use during the 2022 campaign.

Alfa Romeo have put their new C42 Formula 1 car on track for the first time since Sunday's car reveal, sporting a red and white livery design for 2022. The Swiss-based F1 team ran their car with a special camouflaged livery during pre-season testing in Barcelona last week, keeping the paint job of their new car a secret until Sunday morning. That is when the covers were finally pulled from their 2022 entry, revealing a stunning red and white design that was the last of all 10 teams to be revealed to sponsors and fans. And now, for the first time, it has taken to the track to give fans a clear view of how Alfa Romeo will look as they fight it out during the 2022 season.

Alfa Romeo finally hit the track in new livery

After a difficult three days spent in camouflage last week, the new Alfa Romeo C42 was back on track in Barcelona for a filming day. This time, the red and white livery was clear to see as Guanyu Zhou and Valtteri Bottas cashed in on their final few miles behind the wheel before they head to Bahrain. There were plenty of issues for Alfa Romeo in Barcelona, with their two drivers not getting as much time on track as they would have liked. But once they have touched down in Bahrain, the team will be given another three days to test their car before the first race of the season on 20 March.
