At this point in 2025, McLaren was running away with the constructors' championship, sitting on 417 points after 11 races, more than double Ferrari's 210. It was utterly dominant.

Fast forward to 2026, and the landscape has changed dramatically. Mercedes lead the standings on 379 points after 11 rounds, with Ferrari second on 307 and McLaren a distant third on 220.

Mercedes is the season's biggest gainers, leaping from third in 2025 to commanding leaders in 2026. Ferrari have also improved their relative position, closing the gap to the front significantly.

McLaren, by contrast, has fallen hardest, dropping from runaway leaders to 159 points adrift of Mercedes. Andrea Stella admitted the team paid "a heavy price" for their 2025 title double.

Williams has slipped from fifth to ninth, while Alpine have surged from bottom to sixth. Aston Martin's decline has also been dramatic, plummeting from eighth to 10th with a solitary point.
