Horner makes Red Bull claim to achieve historic F1 record

The team has eight races to claim a historic 100% win record in Formula 1.

Christian Horner believes Red Bull must "stay at the top of their game" if they want to achieve a historic 100% win record for their season. The team has won all 14 races so far in the 2023 season, with Max Verstappen claiming a historic 10th victory in a row at the Italian Grand Prix. Talk over whether Red Bull can claim victories at every race weekend in 2023 started early on in the season, after they blitzed the field by winning the opening races by over 20 seconds. A testament to the team not lapsing on track during their period of dominance is in their pit stops, with the team setting a season record at the Hungarian GP with a sub-two second stop for Sergio Perez.

Horner: We have to stay at the top of our game

When asked what it will take to stop them from winning every race, Horner told media including RacingNews365 : "There are so many elements whether its reliability, luck, strategy, a pitstop, pace, weather..." "You've got to stay on top of your game. For me that's the most remarkable achievement this year so far; that we haven't dropped the ball. "We've managed to keep operating at an incredibly high level and that's something which has not been seen before."
