Christian Horner has labelled Red Bull's breakthrough into an "elite club" of teams to have won 100 Formula 1 races as "phenomenal". The Milton Keynes-based outfit secured its century of victories in commanding style as Max Verstappen led from lights to flag at the Canadian Grand Prix, securing Red Bull's eighth win in eight races this term. Verstappen's triumph means Red Bull became only the fifth team in F1 history to reach 100 wins, sitting behind only Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Williams on the all-time list. "For us to have broken into a fairly elite club of over 100 [race wins]. You look at the names that we are there with, it is phenomenal," Team Principal Horner told media, including RacingNews365.com . "We have only just got going really, we are still a young team. We achieved that first victory in 2009 and obviously have achieved a lot in that period. "Hopefully we can keep going and achieve another 100."
'Clear what our goal is'
Pressed on what has been the key to Red Bull's success since winning its first Grand Prix courtesy of Sebastian Vettel in 2009, Horner explained: "It's the people, it's the spirit, it's the culture, it's the attitude we have, it's the way we go about racing. "It's the desire, the passion, it's the commitment, it's all of those aspects. "When you work for a team like Red Bull, it is clear what our goal is: We want to win and we want to be competitive. "Everybody gives their best, they buy into that and you feel that energy in the factory. "It's a culture that we have, we are different to other teams but it's just a racing team, a big racing team."
