Lewis Hamilton has provided some further insight into why he decided to split with his long-time physiotherapist Angela Cullen. The pair have worked together for the last seven years, with Cullen being a key part of Hamilton's orbit on his way to seven World Championships. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff revealed that it was Hamilton who decided to end the working relationship , with the Briton elaborating on the split. "Me and Angela are good and she's moving on to a different phase of her life," said Hamilton to media, including RacingNews365.com . "We're still super close. We've been texting every day. She's massively supportive and I'm massively supportive of her." "I'm so grateful to have had her with me on this journey, She's one of my closest friends and she continues to be."
