Lewis Hamilton has completed the first day of his third outing for Ferrari, part of a Pirelli tyre test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The Italian team, alongside McLaren, is conducting the test for F1's sole tyre supplier to work on the development of its 2026 range, when F1 introduces all-new chassis and power unit regulations.
It is Pirelli's second test of the 2025 season, after McLaren ran for two days at Paul Ricard, the former home of the French Grand Prix.
Hamilton was joined by team-mate Charles Leclerc, who he split the Ferrari running with, and Lando Norris, who completed the whole day for the F1 constructors' champions.
Both the cars were modified versions of the teams' 2024 cars and the programme was focused on slick tyres for dry conditions, whereas the test in France centred on the intermediate and wet compounds.
According to Pirelli "specifically being tested were various combinations of construction and compound, the latter from the hardest end of the range, from the C1 to the C3, as they are well suited to the Spanish track which is particularly demanding on tyres."
A total of 332 laps were completed between the three. Hamilton racked up 87 laps with a best time of 1:15.93, whilst Leclerc managed 86 with a quickest lap of 1:16.06.
Norris led the way with 159 laps and a fastest time of 1:15.21, but will hand over the car to Oscar Piastri for the second day, with the Ferrari drivers again sharing duties.
