Former F1 race winner Juan Pablo Montoya has criticised Lewis Hamilton after the Mercedes driver made complaints over Red Bull's dominance.

The Milton Keynes-based outfit is undefeated this season having secured all 12 race victories as well as the trio of Sprint events on offer.

The results have seen Max Verstappen race into a 125-point advantage over teammate Sergio Perez in the Drivers' standings, whilst Red Bull leads Mercedes by 256 points.

Hamilton has raised concerns over the health of F1 with such command on show, despite having secured eight successive Constructors' titles in a row with the Silver Arrows between 2014 and 2021, with a number of his own title-winning seasons a two-horse race with teammates Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas.

Reality

After the seven-time World Champion suggested Mercedes had never been as dominant as Red Bull currently stands, Montoya told Colombian outlet Semana: "It's very cool to complain when you are not winning.

"But when he was winning, he said that the car had no advantage but the advantage Mercedes had was just as big.

"I don't want to say that Hamilton is not good, he is a very good driver but the reality of this sport is that you have to be in the best car."
