The Haas F1 Team has clarified that it will not be impacted by Donald Trump's tariffs after parent company Haas Automation made drastic changes to its operation.
The president of the United States has recently levied reciprocal tariffs against most countries in the world to right the perceived wrongs of American trade policy, with Haas Automation confirming a "significant impact" on its business, mainly the manufacturing of CNC machines.
It has reduced production and eliminated overtime at its production facility in North Carolina, whilst also pausing recruitment until the full nature of the Trump Administration's tariffs are known.
However, like Red Bull GmbH and Red Bull Racing, the Haas F1 Team and Haas Automation are separate bodies, with the F1 team, with bases in Italy at Maranello and in the UK clarifying that there will be no impact on its operation as a result of the tariffs.
"It’s business as usual regarding the team and there is no change to our development plan, recruiting process and other projects," a team spokesperson confirmed to media including RacingNews365.
After three rounds of the 2025 season, Haas is currently sixth in the constructors' standings with 15 points, with drivers Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman taking a best result of fifth and eighth, respectively, both in the Chinese GP.
