George Russell suffered a disastrous start to the Hungarian Grand Prix, dropping down to last place on the opening lap.
The Mercedes driver, from sixth on the grid, bogged down at the start after triggering anti-stall, dropping down to 21st and last.
Only Sergio Perez, who started from the pit-lane was behind the Mercedes after the first of 70 laps.
By Lap 7 of 70, Russell had recovered to 14th, but is 14s behind team-mate and title leader Kimi Antonelli, who holds a 50-point advantage over the Briton, with Antonelli running sixth.
Oscar Piastri leads from Lando Norris, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc.
Elsewhere, Perez himself has been noted for a starting procedure infringement and will be investigated after the race.
