George Russell has won the sprint race at Zandvoort, controlling the race at the front from start to finish.

The Briton started the sprint race from pole position and held onto the lead throughout to seal eight championship points.

Russell led Charles Leclerc across the line, with the Ferrari driver picking up the runner-up spot after a late overtake on Lando Norris.

Norris came under pressure from Kimi Antonelli in the final laps, but managed to hold on to a spot in the top three.

Antonelli consolidated fourth place and was well clear of Oscar Piastri in fifth.

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton crossed the line in sixth and seventh, respectively, exactly in the positions they started.

However, the duo are facing a post-race investigation for allegedly failing to follow the race director's instructions.

The supposed infringements were flagged by the stewards prior to the start of the race, with several more drivers also facing trips to plead their cases.

These drivers are Gabriel Bortoleto, Yuki Tsunoda and Valtteri, all three of whom finished outside the points.

With points only on offer for the top eight, Pierre Gasly grabbed an extra point for Alpine in his heavily upgraded car.

Bortoleto crossed the line in ninth, while Arvid Lindblad rounded out the top 10, ahead of Liam Lawson in the Red Bull.

Next up on the schedule at the Dutch Grand Prix is qualifying, which kicks off at 16:00 local time.
