The return of the Indianapolis oval to the NASCAR Cup Series calendar for 2024 is the big headline after the un-loved road course was scrubbed.
NASCAR switched to using the in-field road course at IMS in 2021, but three years of chaos and driver criticism has forced the change back to the 2.5-mile oval.
Elsewhere, the Bristol dirt race has been canned with the first Brisol event reverting to concrete, although NASCAR has not given up on hosting dirt races again in future.
Other highlights include the Chicago Street race on July 7th, with Daytona moves forward from the regular season finale one spot with the Southern 500 taking that honour on September 1st.

When is the 2024 Daytona 500?
As ever, the first points race of the season will be the Daytona 500, which is to be held on February 18th.
That is two weeks after the Clash at the LA Coliseum and the Sunday after Super Bowl LVIII.
Other key dates to look out include Circuit of the Americas on March 24th, the Coke 600 on May 26th - the same Sunday as the Indy 500 - and the return to the Indianapolis oval for the Brickyard 400 on July 21st.
That is the final race before a two-week break for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris as this section of the season will be broadcast on NBC - who hold broadcast rights for the Olympics in the United States.
The 2024 Playoffs begin on September 8th in Atlanta, before the Championship-deciding race at Phoenix on November 10th - the Sunday after the 2024 Presidential election.
