The orders are in and the 33-strong field for the 2025 Indy 500 have revealed their milk selections for Sunday's race.
The winner drinking milk in Victory Lane is one of the great traditions of the Indy 500, which started in 1936.
Winner Louis Mayer was exhausted after a race lasting four-and-a-half hours in the intense heat, and so drank buttermilk to refresh and rehydrate.
Over the years, the tradition did not quite catch on, with water usually being offered, but after Pat Flaherty drank two glasses after winning in 1956, the tradition really took over - no doubt aided by a cash incentive from the American Dairy Industry - who still provide the glass of milk to this day.
Since Flaherty, milk has been the order of the day, except in 1993 when two-time F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi drank orange juice to promote his business - something some fans have still not forgiven him for.
Some drivers, including Juan Pablo Montoya have requested chocolate milk in the past, but in the 2025 orders, the 33-strong field have kept their Indy 500 milk choices largely traditional.
Four of the 33 have opted for 2%, with the remaining 29 all going for whole milk.
