Leading global technology company TDK has become a new championship partner of Formula E's and the title partner of July's Tokyo E-Prix.
Headquartered in Japan, TDK is no stranger to the all-electric series and is currently a major partner of Porsche's, with its logo featuring on its rear powertrain cover.
Prior to partnering with the German manufacturer, TDK was a partner of McLaren's before the British outfit left the championship.
Now, it will partner Porsche, Formula E and be the title partner of the Tokyo double-header, which was recently announced as two night races for the first time.
"We are thrilled to welcome TDK as the title partner for the Tokyo E-Prix and official partner of the 2025/26 Season," said Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds. "Japan is a spiritual home for automotive innovation, and TDK’s mission to drive societal transformation through technology aligns perfectly with our vision.
"Their commitment to supporting engineering students also ensures that this partnership leaves a lasting legacy on the future of the industry."
As part of TDK's new relationship with Formula E, the company's branding will be highly visible throughout the remainder of the season at venues.
"TDK has consistently regarded automotive as a priority market, and through this title sponsorship and partnership, reaffirms its commitment to contributing to its ongoing transformation," said TDK CEO Noboru Saito.
"TDK aims to become a trusted and essential partner at the heart of the automotive industry, strategically positioned in future mobility, vehicle electrification, and data-driven intelligence.
"As safety systems and autonomous driving technologies advance, we are powering the revolution of electric mobility from within. A conventional internal-combustion engine vehicle already houses thousands of TDK products, a number that grows even higher in electric vehicles.
"Mobility is a cornerstone of TDK’s AI ecosystem, and by driving innovation from within, we are committed to enabling smarter, safer, and better automobiles. Through these initiatives, TDK embraced Formula E’s vision and decided to support it. We are proud to be the title sponsor at our home event here in Tokyo."
