Formula 1 dismisses rumours of further cancelled races

Reports that the Monaco, Azerbaijan and Canadian Grand Prix are all set to be cancelled have been denied by Formula 1.

Rumours that the next three street races on the 2021 Formula 1 calendar have been quashed. On Saturday, a Dutch outlet said that the Monaco, Azerbaijan and Canadian Grand Prix were all under threat. However, RacingNews365 has learnt that the rumours are not true and is pure speculation. The promoters of the three races have recently sat down with Formula 1 bosses. They assured them that the events could continue and that the various authorities involved have already expressed their support for the continuation of the Grands Prix. "We have recently announced the details of the modified Formula 1 calendar and there have been no further changes. The suggestion that the street races will not go ahead is completely wrong," a spokesperson said to RacingNews365. The 2021 season is scheduled to start in Bahrain on March 28. Imola follows three weeks later before the Portugese Grand Prix which is expected to be confirmed soon on May 2. With the cooperation of Dieter Rencken.
