Michael Schumacher's former manager Willi Weber was robbed and tied up at the 83-year-old's villa on Tuesday evening.
In an exclusive residential area in Stuttgart, Germany, Weber's villa was entered by three burglars wearing balaclavas, with Schumacher's former manager and two others having been home.
According to the Stuttgarter Zeitung, Weber was home with his wife and housekeeper when the burglary happened.
All three were tied up during the robbery, with the three burglars having broken into safes owned by Weber.
According to police, jewellery and cash worth several hundred thousand euros were stolen, whilst the thieves also escaped undetected.
Weber revealed to Bild that it was not until an hour had passed that one of the three victims managed to free themselves from the restraints to contact the police.
Investigations are ongoing into the incident, but it was a horrific experience for the victims, with Weber being left in "complete shock".
"I have a black eye, the detectives are here talking to me. I feel terrible. I'm in complete shock," Weber told Bild.
Weber managed Schumacher for the entirety of the seven-time world champion's F1 career and was a key individual in the German's racing career taking off.
He met Schumacher in the 1980s, before guiding him through the junior ranks and into the pinnacle of motorsport.
