Albon investigation decision revealed

Albon was alleged to have rejoined the track in a dangerous manner.

Williams driver Alex Albon has been reprimanded for rejoininb the track in an unsafe manner during Belgian Grand Prix qualifying. Albon ran wide at Rivage at the end of Q1, ruining his own chances of reaching the second part of qualifying. His rejoin was deemed to be unsafe as he redressed in front of rivals, though the race stewards deemed a penalty was not needed. The stewards' report read: "Albon left the circuit at Turn 8 at the end of Q1. "He then rejoined the circuit on the racing line. While he was always going to have to rejoin on the line, the Stewards feel that he could have done more to ensure that he rejoined safely while another car was approaching." Albon will start Sunday's Grand Prix from 16th provisionally, though will have the chance to make amends in Saturday's Sprint event.
