The FIA has confirmed Aston Martin has changed the chassis on Lance Stroll's AMR25 after the Canadian's scary crash in FP2 at the Dutch Grand Prix.
The Silverstone squad broke curfew to replace the survival cell of his car, the first of two allowed instances for the team over the course of the season.
Only a matter of minutes into the second hour of running at Circuit Zandvoort, the 26-year-old slammed into the wall on the exit of Turn 3, in an impact eerily similar to Daniel Ricciardo's two years earlier.
The Australian driver injured his hand in that incident, but thankfully, Stroll was okay, despite the heavy hit - although his car was not.
The right-hand corners were ripped off in the collision with the barriers, with the survival cell damaged, therefore necessitating the change.
The gearbox and power unit have been changed, but Aston Martin believe both will be okay. The team has also confirmed to RacingNews365 that "almost everything" three-time podium finisher's car is new. It is expected to be ready for the start of FP3.
