The FIA has made its initial decision on the legality of Ferrari's radical rear-wing design, first seen on Thursday in F1 testing.
During his five laps on track before other technical gremlins struck, Hamilton deployed a unique rear-wing design where the slot gap for the active aero flipped up, turned through 270 degrees to open.

Max Verstappen has outlined that it is "quite obvious" Red Bull Racing needs to find more performance following the conclusion of pre-season testing.
The Dutchman was in the RB22 for his final running on Friday afternoon, completing 65 laps, the best of which was a 1m 33.109.

Lance Stroll has vowed to help Aston Martin to "keep pushing flat out to unlock more performance" following a dismal 2026 pre-season testing.
Across the three tests in Barcelona and Bahrain, Stroll completed just 139 laps in the AMR26 machine as Honda power unit woes hampered running.

Friday marked the final day of testing for the F1 teams ahead of the new season, which kicks off in two weeks at the Australian Grand Prix.

George Russell calls out 'premature heat' after heavy F1 criticism
George Russell has labelled the "heat" the new F1 regulations received from some of his fellow drivers "premature" as he moved to defend the revamped rules.
The Briton highlighted the rapid "rate of improvement" seen at the start of any era in F1, pointing out that the new cars are not drastically slower than they were at the end of the contemporary ground effects era, which concluded at the end of last year.

Charles Leclerc ended F1 pre-season testing fastest with a stunning late lap for Ferrari.
The Monegasque pumped in a 1:31.992 to become the only driver to break the 1:32 barrier across all of testing in Sakhir.
